Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that all kind of shops around various towns and cities will ultimately close one day beacuse online shopping trend is rapidly increasing. While people also prefer to shop in person, it sometimes hard to find things online but personally i believe that online shopping will completely take over in future due to technology advanacements, reduces time constraints and its conveneince.
One of the main reasons is that online shopping reduces commuting time and really connvenient to buy things while sitting at home. This trend significantly increases over the time due to traffic congestion, long waiting time and public husttle therefore people try to prefer online shopping instaed of going to makets. For example, people after their busy work routine they rarely get time off from their routines so that sitting at workplace or in leisure time they try to putt things in online carts. Therefore, it save their amount of time without facing difficulty.
On the other hand, due to the rapid rise in ecommerce bussiness, people usually take their startups online. Nowadays, people try to invest a huge amount on online bussiness rather than in shop beacuse this can particulary prevent them from paying unnecessary taxes or rents. For instance, young adults have online presence with their own particular brands. Despite their studies, they run their online shops. Consequently, this specific trend will ultimatly end up closing shops in all over the world in future.
In Conclusion, shops in town and cities are going to close in nearly future due to the rapid growth of online bussines. I totally agree that this trend will usually takes place beacuse people are leaning towards online as compared to in person to protect themselves form tarffic congestion, time contraints and early conenience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position throughout, stating that online shopping will completely take over. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. While the advantages of convenience and time-saving are reasonably discussed in the second paragraph, the point regarding business startups in the third paragraph is somewhat repetitive and lacks deeper extension. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to provide more fully developed, detailed explanations and stronger supporting examples for every main idea presented, rather than relying on general statements about taxes and rents.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance maintained from the introduction through to the conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct arguments, such as personal convenience versus business shifts. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear. For instance, transitional phrases like 'In Conclusion' and 'On the other hand' are applied, but internal connections between sentences can feel abrupt, and pronouns occasionally lack clear antecedents. To achieve a higher band, the writer should employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices naturally and ensure smoother logical transitions between paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'traffic congestion' and 'ecommerce business'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'beacuse', 'conveneince', 'connvenient', 'instaed', 'makets', 'putt', 'bussiness', 'ultimatly', 'tarffic', and 'conenience'. These errors show limited control over word forms and spelling, though they do not severely impede communication. To reach the next band, the writer must expand their lexical range and eliminate frequent spelling slips to demonstrate greater precision and accuracy in word choice.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and causative ideas. However, there are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and articles, such as 'all kind of shops', 'it sometimes hard', 'trend significantly increases over the time', 'people after their busy work routine they rarely get time off', and missing commas or incorrect capitalization ('i', 'makets.For'). These errors reflect a limited control of sentence structures and can cause occasional difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer should focus on mastering basic agreement, article usage, and punctuation while ensuring complex structures are constructed accurately.
