Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position against the prediction that online shopping will close all physical shops, and you give relevant reasons, including convenience, discounts, returns and delivery problems. However, the response only partly addresses the central claim: most of the discussion lists advantages of online shopping rather than explaining why town and city shops will continue to operate. The final sentence, “In conclusion, I can say that online shopping”, is unfinished, so your position is not properly restated and the essay has no complete conclusion. Develop the opposing case with specific reasons, such as the value of trying products in person or receiving immediate service, and support these with a relevant example. A complete conclusion would make your answer clearer and more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two main paragraphs and an attempt at a paragraph about disadvantages, so there is some organisation. You also use signposts such as “Firstly”, “Furthermore” and “Secondly” to show the order of points. However, progression is limited because several benefits are repeated, and the links between ideas are sometimes unclear. For example, “Which is main plus point” is separated from the sentence it refers to, while “Although” introduces disadvantages without clearly connecting them to your position. The isolated word “store” and the unfinished conclusion also interrupt the flow. Group related points, use referencing that clearly identifies what “it” or “they” means, and finish with a conclusion that follows from the discussion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “home delivery”, “discount”, “exchange and return policies” and “product delivery”, which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “technology is advances”, “people though about shopping”, “reasonable price” and “expensive products for abroad”. Spelling errors such as “moslty”, “usefull”, “siutable” and “Amazone” are also noticeable. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe how online shopping “has advantages over” physical shopping and how customers can “order products from overseas”. This would make your ideas clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “Although, there are some cons as well in online shopping”, but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “technology is advances” and “online shopping also have” have incorrect verb forms or agreement; “Because it provide numerous positive points” is an incomplete sentence; and “Which is main plus point” is also a fragment. The final sentence is unfinished. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and articles. You can still use complex sentences, but connect clauses accurately—for example, “Although delivery can be delayed, many customers value the convenience of ordering online.”
