Student answer (Band 6.0)

Online shopping is increasing day by day. Some people argued that the country side shops will shut down due to this. I am completely disagree with the statement because individuals like to go physical store and quick accessible to buy things.

To begin with, most of pupils enjoy to go for shopping by their self in any specific store because they have chance to examine the cloth's texture and colour before purchasing. For example, According to the survey, the quantitative data showed that people prefer to visit local stores to buy new things such as cloths, shoes and other electronic thing because they can check the quality and size of the any particular item. As a result, physical store will continue to attract more consumers by their different kinds of collections and customer service as compared to online platforms.

Additionally, physical stores are essential because it provides immediate access of everyday necessities. whenever people need anything they can reach their local market to buy things such as groceries, medicines and other important stuffs which is urgently on the time. Unlike online shopping, these traditional shops allow to customer purchase things without waiting deliveries. For instance, in many countries the hospitals are very far from their houses and in the emergency they buy some medicines form local shops instead ordering online. consequently, these businesses will continue to operate because they fulfil customers' immediate needs.

In conclusion, online shopping is becoming so popular but I am disagree it will replace the other all physical stores because its still preferred by so many consumers to buy their daily needed things and also different options for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that online shopping will cause all town and city shops to close, and you maintain this view in the conclusion. Both body paragraphs give relevant reasons: shoppers can inspect products in person, and local shops provide immediate access to essentials. The examples about checking clothing and buying medicine help support these points. However, the first paragraph focuses mainly on clothing and consumer goods, while the second’s hospital example is not fully explained in relation to shops generally. To develop the response further, explain how these advantages would sustain a wider range of physical businesses and acknowledge that online shopping may still reduce demand for some shops. This would make the support more consistently developed and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from product inspection to immediate access is logical, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Additionally” and “In conclusion” make the organisation easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical, however, and a few references are unclear. For example, “these traditional shops” follows a discussion of local markets, while “these businesses” refers back to shops without specifying which kinds. The long survey example also contains several ideas in one sentence, making its progression less smooth. Use transitions more selectively and divide complex examples into clearer steps, with explicit references to the shops or consumers being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “physical store,” “local market,” “customer service,” “deliveries” and “immediate needs.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “quantitative data” and “everyday necessities.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “quick accessible,” “cloth’s texture,” “important stuffs” and “daily needed things.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “cloths” and “form” also reduce precision. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, but the range is not yet consistently controlled. Build accuracy by learning common shopping-related collocations and checking plural forms and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because they have chance to examine” and a contrast introduced by “Unlike online shopping.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors occur across sentence patterns and verb forms. Examples include “I am completely disagree,” “most of pupils enjoy to go,” and “these traditional shops allow to customer purchase.” Agreement and articles also need attention, as in “physical stores are essential because it provides” and “the any particular item.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly at the start of “whenever” and “consequently.” Practise accurate clause construction and subject–verb agreement, then proofread for articles, verb patterns and sentence boundaries.
