Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that rapidly increasing online shopping will results in all markets in towns and cities shutdown. I partly agree with this statement because many people prefer offline shopping because of cost and many prefer online, it results in easy to access.
On the one hand, individuals prefer to visit shops such as many foreigners and elderly mothers do not trust on the interent. They do not like to purchase anything online form various websites including amazon, myntra, nykaa. For instance, if someone has to buy for himself a cooler, they must go to market because it is easy for checking any defective piece or if does not like it, various options are also available.
On the other hand, many people prefer online shopping. It is common among youngsters and adults. Because they have busy schedules as someone is busy doing study while other is doing work. They do not want to waste their time while going to markets and buying things for themselves. They trust on internet products and materials. For instance, sometime discount option is available, if we put a coupon code, get a discount or free gifts. In addition, they are afforadble, get refund within days if product is damaged.
In conclusion, online shopping is a good option. But it does not apply on every product or electric appliance. It is easy to do but sometime it is not affordable for everyone. While it has many benefits such as saving time, get discounts and return or refund options are also available.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a partly agreeing position and discuss reasons why some people continue to shop in person while others choose online shopping. The examples about checking a cooler before buying and using coupon codes support these relevant points. However, the response does not fully resolve the question of whether online shopping will eventually cause all town and city shops to close: the conclusion says online shopping has benefits and limitations, but does not clearly state whether you think physical shops will disappear. Some claims, such as online shopping being unaffordable for everyone or refunds being available, are mentioned without enough explanation. Make your position on the future of shops explicit and develop the reasons with clearer links to whether shops will remain open.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, contrasting paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the two sides of your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven, and some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because they have busy schedules” is a sentence fragment, while “In addition” introduces affordability and refunds without showing how these points connect to the previous explanation. The conclusion repeats several benefits rather than bringing the argument together. Use complete sentences, make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit, and ensure the final paragraph directly answers the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to shopping, including “defective piece,” “coupon code,” “refund,” and “discount,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “trust on the internet,” “purchase anything online form various websites,” and “they are afforadble.” Repetition of “prefer,” “shopping,” and “people” also limits variety. Aim to learn common phrases as complete units, such as “trust online retailers” and “shop in person,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the effects of online retail and the role of physical shops would help you express your argument more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional phrasing in “if someone has to buy for himself a cooler” and a contrast between online and in-person shopping. However, errors occur frequently, and some sentence structures are difficult to follow. For example, “will results” has an incorrect verb form, “many people prefer offline shopping because of cost and many prefer online, it results in easy to access” joins ideas incorrectly, and “if we put a coupon code, get a discount” lacks a clear subject in the second clause. “Because they have busy schedules” is also a fragment. Practise forming complete clauses with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries when editing.
