Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this technological advanced era, digital shopping is gradually increasing , consequently all shops in city and town may shut down in future. I firmly disagree with the statement, as the feeling of offline shopping is incredible and give satisfaction as well as the scams can be less likely to happen in stores in town.

First of all, shopping is associate with quality and quantity. One can check the size, material etc. by doing offline shopping. The feeling of purchasing thing by checking is can not be compared with online shopping, as digital marketors can not give such benefits. A survey says that " Online stores get more and more returned parcels because customers were not satisfied with the quality or the size of the items they purchased online."Hence, such advantages can not be found in digital purchases,so some customers will always be reliabled on offline shopping.

Second of all, the core drawback is fraude. The online money theft, hack their phone to get the bank details, fack websites, etc. are such consequencies which are more common in digital shopping. A police influencer called " copvlog" stated that " Everyday, citizens are getting theft by doing online shopping." So that many individuas keep theri shopping offline to escape such fraude.

In conclusion, the main drivers are the dissatisfaction towards quality and quantity and to escape such scams of online shopping. So customers tend to do offline shopping . That is why in future, there are no any chances of closing the offline shops in towns.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly disagree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: shoppers can inspect products in person, and physical stores may reduce exposure to online fraud. The examples about returned parcels and scams help support these points, so the response addresses the task. However, the first reason is developed more clearly than the second: the discussion of fraud lists risks but does not explain fully why these would ensure that shops remain open. Some claims, such as that there are “no any chances” of shops closing, are also too absolute for a future trend. To strengthen the response, explain how physical shops might adapt or coexist with online retail, and qualify predictions with more measured reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Second of all,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This organisation is effective, though cohesion is sometimes mechanical and links between ideas are not always smooth. For example, “shopping is associate with quality and quantity” does not clearly introduce the point about inspecting products, and “So that” is an awkward link before the claim about customers shopping offline. The conclusion repeats the two reasons rather than drawing them together. Use more precise transitions and make each paragraph’s opening sentence state its main argument directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “offline shopping,” “digital purchases,” “returned parcels,” and “bank details,” and you attempt some less common terms such as “dissatisfaction.” However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems limit precision: “technological advanced,” “digital marketors,” “fraude,” “consequencies,” and “reliabled” are inaccurate, while “money theft” and “citizens are getting theft” are unnatural. Some wording is also vague, such as “the feeling of purchasing thing.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they make the argument less fluent and occasionally require interpretation. Build accuracy by checking spelling and word forms, and learn common topic collocations rather than translating phrases literally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “as” and a relative clause in the quotation about parcels. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors occur across sentence structures, agreement, articles, and verb forms. Examples include “shopping is associate,” “the feeling … is incredible and give satisfaction,” and “One can check … by doing offline shopping.” The construction “The feeling of purchasing thing by checking is can not be compared” is especially difficult to follow because the verb pattern is faulty. Punctuation and spacing around quotation marks and commas also need attention. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and use shorter, controlled sentences when expressing complex ideas; then check articles, plurals, and verb forms during revision.
