Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern Era of technology and busy work schedule online shopping has taken over window shopping as everybldy finds it more convient method. This can lead to shutting down of all the stores in cities and towns. I partially agree with the statement.
To begin with, Online shoppin has grown widely in the past few years specially after covid as there are lot advantages. You can order anytime from anywhere in few seconds. Almost every brand has its website and more deals are offered online so every customer loves to order online. Moreover, Most of the websites also provide same day delivery so if anybody wants to go for party in the evening and he/she is stuck at work that person can order it online and by the time he/she reaches home the product will be on the door. In addition to this it is very easy to find product online rather that visiting the stores.
On the other hand, ofline shopping has its on benifits as you can watch the product live and feel it. Instore real quality of product can be seen and a person is able to check that will that product paces the quality check. In a recent survey it was observed that people find it lot of product ordered online were delivered damaged to their doorstep and the time that took to replace it was no longer needed. So, many argues that ofline shopping is still the best.
To conclude with, even though online shopping has huge sum of benifits but it can never take down ofilne stores in the towns and cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you partially agree that online shopping may threaten physical shops, but you conclude that it will not eliminate them. You address both sides with relevant points, including convenience, online deals and delivery, alongside the ability to inspect products in person. The party-clothing example helps illustrate convenience, and the damaged-delivery point supports your counterargument. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the survey claim is vague, and you do not explain how damaged orders would prevent shops from closing. Develop this evidence and clarify which types of purchases or customers will continue to rely on stores to make your argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from online-shopping advantages to the case for physical stores is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with” and “On the other hand” help guide the reader. This organisation is effective, though some linking is mechanical and several ideas are crowded together in long sentences. The transition into the survey claim, for instance, would be clearer if the evidence were introduced and explained in separate sentences. Also use paragraphing and punctuation to distinguish individual supporting points, and make references such as “that person” and “it” more precise where needed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “same day delivery,” “quality check,” “damaged” and “replace,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range and control are limited by repeated basic wording and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “convient,” “ofline,” “benifits” and “paces the quality check.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “huge sum of benifits” and “take down ofilne stores.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more accurate set of collocations for shopping and retail, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for convenience, product inspection and store closures would make the argument clearer and more formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “as,” “even though” and “if,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. Some grammatical errors remain, however. For example, “there are lot advantages” needs an article and a plural form, while “many argues” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “In a recent survey it was observed” becomes difficult to follow because its clause structure is not controlled, and “even though … but” combines two contrasting structures unnecessarily. Review articles, agreement and the construction of longer sentences. Breaking complex ideas into shorter, complete sentences would improve accuracy while preserving variety.
