Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays people attention toward online shopping is increasing very fastly. Some people think that this increasing trend will lead to the closure of all the shops of cities and towns. I totally disagree with it. This essay will delineate the resaons behind my disagreement.
First and foremost, people prefer to go to market because they feel satisfaction to buy things after proper search and analysis. Moreover, limited options are available in online shopping. SO, it is better to go to market for shopping. Sometimes we are unable to know about quality, colour and texture of things which are being showed on screen. Mostly the colours of clothes are not the same as being displayed online.
In the second place, People living in far of places have to wait for long time due to to delayed or poor delivery services. So it is not good idea for those who need something urgently. Sometimes people experience different scams in online shopping. They did not get the same thing which they ordered. Although the websites had mentioned the proper size charts for the ease of online buyers but still some ambiguity remains. This issue is more common in the shopping of stitched clothes and footwear. Everyone has its own body shape and some styles do not fit in same size.
To conclude, although its is little time saving strategy to buy things online and people prefer to do online purchasing. But still shopping through visit to market is in demand and it will never decrease or become the cause of closure of shops.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I totally disagree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including the ability to inspect products in person, delivery delays, scams, and problems with clothing and footwear sizes. These examples address why physical shops may continue to attract customers. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, you say online shopping has “limited options” without showing how this compares with shops, and the point about urgent purchases could be linked more explicitly to the survival of local stores. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with a specific example or explanation and connect it directly to why shops will not all close. The response covers the task well overall, though some ideas need fuller support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “In the second place,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument. The ideas within each paragraph are generally related, particularly the discussion of delivery, scams, and fit in the second body paragraph. At times, however, the linking feels mechanical, and repeated “So” statements make the progression less smooth. The conclusion also introduces a contrast with “although” but does not complete it cleanly. Use a wider range of natural links and make the relationship between each example and the main claim more explicit; this would make the organisation feel more consistently controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “delivery services,” “scams,” “ambiguity,” and “body shape,” and these choices help communicate your main points. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the closure of all the shops.” However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “people attention” is unnatural, “very fastly” is not the appropriate form, and “far of places” is unclear. “Proper search and analysis” and “shopping through visit to market” also sound unnatural in context. Some repetition of “shopping” and “people” limits flexibility. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will make your meaning clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “things which are being showed on screen” and a concession beginning “Although the websites had mentioned…”. This shows some range, and the main argument remains understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation are evident. For example, “people prefer” needs a possessive or article in “people’s attention,” while “Everyone has its own body shape” has a pronoun-agreement problem. The final sentence beginning “although” is not a complete, well-formed contrast, and “it is not good idea” is missing an article. Review sentence boundaries and article use, and practise building accurate complex sentences so that your range is supported by more consistent control.
