Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, Online shopping is become a widely discussed issue. some people believe that the growth of online shopping will one day lead to all shops in towns and cities closing. In my opinion, online shopping will reduce the offline shopping but its not lead to closes the shops.
To begin with, one of the main reason is that when individuals want to buy fresh vegetables or fruits they prefer to buy it from local shop. This is because if we buy it from online plateforms, there is a chance to compromise in quality of it. For instance, a perishable products should not buy from online platfroms because sometimes its harmful for health. As a result we may suffer from serious health problems. It affects Not only financially but also physically of Middle class family. Therefore, I believe that online shopping in every sections will not stop.
Furthermore, another important point is that online shopping may lead to fraud. in other words, people feel not secure about online shopping. For example, many times buyers complains about getting fraud from online platefroms such as, quality of the products, authencity of payment method etc. Consequently, some people avoid shopping from online platforms. As this is the main reason of offline shopping. so I belive people should rely on offline shopping in some sectors.
In conclusion, the growth of online shopping will not reduce the offline shopping because individuals will shopping accoding to their safetly and satisfaction. Therefore, online shopping will reduce the offline shopping but its not lead to closes the shops.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is identifiable: you disagree that online shopping will close every shop, and you give two relevant reasons—fresh produce and concerns about fraud. However, the response is short of the required minimum: it contains 242 words, so it is 8 words below 250; 17 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. The ideas are also only partly developed. For example, you mention possible quality problems with online produce and payment concerns, but do not explain how these issues ensure physical shops will remain open or provide a specific personal or real-world example. The conclusion repeats your position, though its wording is unclear. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument reasonably easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links. In the first body paragraph, the move from fresh produce to health and then to the finances of middle-class families is not fully explained. Phrases such as “As this is the main reason of offline shopping” do not clearly show how the preceding point supports your argument. The repeated contrast between online and offline shopping also makes the conclusion feel repetitive. Use linking expressions to show precise cause-and-effect relationships, and ensure each paragraph develops one central reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “perishable products,” “quality,” “fraud,” and “payment method.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “authenticity,” although it is misspelled and the phrase “authenticity of payment method” is not a natural collocation. Several spelling and word-choice errors—“plateforms,” “belive,” and “saf etly” (written as “safetly”)—reduce accuracy, while repeated use of “online shopping” and “offline shopping” limits flexibility. Some expressions, including “compromise in quality of it” and “getting fraud,” are difficult to interpret naturally. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing product quality, consumer trust, and physical retailers, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and reason clauses such as “if we buy it from online platforms” and “This is because…”. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “online shopping is become,” “one of the main reason,” “a perishable products should not buy,” and “individuals will shopping.” These show problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. The final sentence also repeats an unclear structure: “its not lead to closes the shops.” Practise forming accurate present and future verb patterns, and check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms. More reliable sentence structures will help your ideas come across clearly.
