Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this contemporary era, online purchasing become very popular. some of them opine that this trend will cause to shut in-person stores not only in towns but also in cities. I am partially agree with this statement as online shopping has their own merits.

There are numerous of factors support my belief that why online shopping is playing sognificant role in everyone's life? First and foremost, this is a time saving technique. individuals become workaholic and instead of going into the malls and stores they prefer to buy online with one click and make the payment online in seconds. Secondly, most of the online apps offers discount. so we can get things on very reasonable price. For example, shein app sometime lauch the discount to buy one get one free or send the link to 10 friends then you can get 50% discount.

On the other hand, walk in stores also prefer by some people. In store shopping give us a chance to check the durability and size of clothes and shoes efficently. which we cannot realize while buying online. As a result people might get a wrong size and colour. In addition, bargaining also makes those stores valuable. Masses can negotiate the price with sales person as person usually go for shopping to certain stores so shop keeper also sale the things on genuine price to the regular customer.

In conclusion, although online shopping preferences increasingly day by day, in stores purchases also alternative choice . Consequently, i would like to say that online shopping plays vital role because of its conveince and time saving approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is identifiable: you partly agree that online shopping will affect physical shops, while noting that in-person shopping still has advantages. You give relevant reasons on both sides, including convenience and discounts online, and checking clothing and bargaining in stores. The Shein example helps illustrate the discount point. However, the response does not fully resolve the question of whether all shops will eventually close: your conclusion mainly says online shopping is important, rather than clearly explaining why physical shops will or will not disappear. Some points, such as bargaining and regular customers, are also asserted without much explanation. Develop the implications of your examples and state your final view more directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting online shopping, a contrasting paragraph about physical stores, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the main direction. However, some connections are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, “As a result” introduces the problem of receiving the wrong size or colour, but the link to the previous sentence could be more explicit. The conclusion also does not clearly bring together the two sides. Use linking phrases selectively, and make each paragraph’s main point and its connection to your position explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of vocabulary relevant to shopping, including “time saving,” “durability,” “bargaining,” and “regular customer,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “plays significant role.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “online purchasing become very popular,” “sognificant,” “lauch,” and “on very reasonable price.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “walk in stores also prefer by some people.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Using precise terms such as “physical shops” and “online retailers” consistently would also make the discussion clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example (“if… then…”) and a contrast introduced by “although.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas can usually be understood. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur in several places. For instance, “online purchasing become” needs subject–verb agreement, while “most of the online apps offers” has a plural subject with a singular verb. The sentence beginning “In store shopping give us” also needs a corrected verb form, and “which we cannot realize while buying online” is left as a fragment. Practise checking each sentence for a complete clause and consistent agreement, then review punctuation and capitalization.
