Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern era, there has been an increasing popularity of online shopping in modern society. While many people argue that heis popularityb will lead to closing of shops in town and cities. However, I partially argee with the statement because retail business provides their own benefits such as customer shopping experience and their trust that online shopping can never replace.
One of the prominent reasons why many believe that online shopping can replace shops because it provides conveninence. this is because many people due to busy lifestyle often do not have time to go out and shop from retail stores, they prefer to shop from their mobile phoen within a click. Another reason behined this arroach is that it also gives a wide rage of products availability. People can choose from various sellers and they get access to international brands, regadless of geographical distances. For instance, many websites has been deveoped from where people can purchase products from different parts of the world. Therefore, there is increase in the demands of online shopping.
Despite these benefits, it can not affect retail businesses. As shopping from retail stores mainly popular for their customer services, when people shop products from the stores, they can check products' quality and choose est out of all, This can be nearly impossible in online shopping. Furthermore, many people cannot trust products from online because of the fraud. For this reason, they often prefer to shop from retail stores where they can go and purchase product of their choice by themselve. For instance, many online shopping applications who do not have reputable customer services, have reduced people trust on them. Therefore, although online shopping provide many benefits, I believe it can not totally replece the shopping experience and trust retail services provide.
In conclusion, although online shopping has many benefits, including conenience and a wider range of products available,it cannot tottaly replace the retail market because they cannot replace customer services and their trust with retail shopping. Therefore, I partly partly argee with the statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you partly disagree because online shopping offers convenience and choice, while physical shops provide service, product inspection and greater trust. These points address both sides of the question, and the examples about international sellers and unreliable shopping applications are relevant. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the benefits of online shopping are explained in more detail than why physical shops will continue to survive, and the examples remain general rather than showing a specific situation or consequence. To strengthen the response, explain more directly why these advantages will sustain shops in towns and cities, and develop one example in greater depth. Your conclusion restates your position, though it could express the prediction more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on online shopping’s advantages, a contrasting paragraph on physical shops, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Despite these benefits” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and the main ideas generally progress logically. However, some linking is mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Therefore” and “For instance.” The opening paragraph also contains a sentence beginning “While” that is not completed as a full contrast before “However” introduces the writer’s view. Some references, such as “they” in the final paragraph, are not fully clear. Use a wider range of links and make the relationship between each example and its point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to discuss the issue, including “customer services,” “geographical distances,” “reputable,” and “wide range of products.” These choices show an attempt to express ideas beyond basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “conveninence,” “behined,” “regadless,” and “replece” are examples. There are also awkward or inaccurate combinations, such as “wide rage of products availability” and “increase in the demands of online shopping.” Repetition of “benefits,” “online shopping,” and “retail stores” limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases, such as “a wider selection of products” and “demand for online shopping.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “although,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences. For example, “While many people argue that … However, I partially agree” leaves the opening clause without a complete main clause, while “many websites has been developed” has subject–verb agreement and verb-form problems. Other examples include “online shopping provide” and “many people … prefer,” where agreement or sentence construction needs attention. Punctuation also causes problems in the long sentence beginning “As shopping from retail stores…,” including an inappropriate capital after a comma. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
