Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall view—“I agree”—and give relevant reasons, especially convenience, time-saving, and lower prices. These points address why online shopping may reduce visits to physical shops. However, the response only partially develops the task: it largely repeats these benefits rather than explaining how they could lead to all shops in towns and cities closing. The claim that “all shops” will close is very broad, and there is no counterpoint or qualification about shops that offer services or experiences online retailers cannot provide. The examples of Meesho and Flipkart are relevant but are named rather than explained. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a specific example and make the link to the future closure of shops clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The body paragraphs group related points about convenience and price, and connectors such as “To commence with,” “moreover,” and “To conclude” help signal stages. However, progression within paragraphs is often repetitive: the first body paragraph returns several times to online shopping being easy and saving time, while the second repeats that people lack time and can order from anywhere. Some links between ideas are unclear, and the conclusion introduces no developed summary beyond repeating the main claim. Use clearer topic sentences, organise each paragraph around one distinct reason, and connect each reason to a specific explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, with relevant terms such as “online shopping,” “traffic,” “delivery,” “payment,” and “cheap price.” However, the range is limited and many words and phrases are repeated, particularly “easy,” “people,” and “online shopping.” Several choices or forms are unclear or inaccurate, including “masses,” “a online shopping,” “brand very good quilty,” and “many side open.” Spelling errors such as “shoping,” “flipcart,” and “genration” also reduce accuracy. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Build a wider set of precise expressions for convenience, cost, and the effects on local businesses, and check spelling and natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and consequences, and some short statements are understandable, such as “They order any time and check the location.” However, the range is limited, with most sentences following simple patterns, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include missing verbs or auxiliaries in “people not like go the outside” and “online shopping brand very good,” incorrect articles in “a online shopping,” and faulty verb forms in “online shopping to become a people life very easy.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “In the modern era , masses mostly like online shopping. nowadays…” Practise complete subject–verb sentences, articles, and verb forms, then combine ideas using accurate clauses such as “because” or “although.”
