Student answer (Band 5.0)
Online shopping these days is more popular if you compare it to in store shopping. However it may have some issues but still people prefer it and it grow very fast and one day will lead to all shops in towns and cities to be closed.
Online shopping have a lot of benefits including, huge discounts in the prices in compare with the in store prices , it require minimum efforts you just have to open the website of your favourite shop and start to add the items to your cart. No need to go inperson to the shop and they will deliver it to you in your door steps. Also some stores have return services if the you didn't like the item you can simply return it.
the reasons why am not fully agree, first in term of clothes the size may differ from brand to another; for example the same size lets say (M) has maynot be same and it happend a lot, second some stores don't have return policy so what i will do to the item if I didn't like it or it didn't fit me, third if the person need it urgently this option may not be available for most of the stores. Also i noticed that sometimes there is difference in the colour maybe because of the light when they took the photo, and also you don't know how the ticture feels.
at the end am a big fan of the online shopping . However sometimes i like to shop in-store.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant, though not fully consistent, response: the opening predicts that online shopping will close all shops, while the conclusion says you enjoy online shopping but sometimes prefer stores, without clearly stating whether you agree with the prediction. The benefits and drawbacks are relevant, especially delivery, returns, clothing sizes, urgency and colour differences, but most are listed rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The task also requires at least 250 words; the response is 249 words, and 8 words copied from the prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly and consistently, explain how your examples support it, and meet the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a brief conclusion. This helps readers identify the main sections, and words such as “However,” “Also” and “for example” signal some relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is often list-like, and the conclusion does not clearly resolve the question raised in the introduction. Several ideas are joined in long strings, particularly in the paragraph beginning “the reasons why am not fully agree,” making the relationships between points less clear. Use one main point per sentence, organise the reasons into a clearer sequence, and use referencing and linking phrases accurately rather than relying on repeated “also.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “discounts,” “return policy,” “urgently,” “colour” and “in-store.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “in compare with,” “deliver it to you in your door steps” and “how the ticture feels.” Spelling and word-form problems, including “happend” and “inperson,” also make the writing less clear and polished. Aim for more precise phrases for comparing prices, describing delivery and explaining how fabric feels. Proofreading for spelling and choosing standard collocations would make your meaning easier to follow while retaining your relevant shopping vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “Online shopping have” instead of subject–verb agreement, “it grow very fast,” and “the reasons why am not fully agree.” Articles, pronouns and sentence boundaries also need attention: “if the you didn't like the item” contains an extra article, while several ideas are joined with commas rather than separated into complete sentences. Practise accurate present-tense forms and build longer sentences with clear clauses, using full stops where one point ends. Careful editing for agreement, articles and punctuation would improve control.
