Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the fast-paced world, grocery and daily needs shops have been play significant role in individual lives. While some people believe that all local shops in the future replace with online shopping, In my opnion, online shops and towns and cities shops both will servive in the future because according individual availablity they can choose.

On the one hand, there are numerous reasons for the rapid growth of online markets. To begin with, it is not only convenient option, but also it saves the time and energy. Furthermore, in online shopping has widely popular because in one platform everything get within less period time. For instance, if any items such as, grocerries, daily essentials, brand clothes, home appliances, and electronic devices we will get using online shopping apps. Therefore, these platforms give fair prices and exchange or return options also avaialbale which is why public keen on these apps rather than go to local shops.

On the other hand, towns and cities markets also run in the future. In real stores items or things we can estimate quality and durability by see and touch the products. Moreover, expensive items many people visit offline shops instead of online shops as they physically show the items and quickly we can purchase. For example, if someone invited birthday celebration at that time they will easily buy gifts in the real store. Consequently, offline shops also servive because those shops also important for individual needs.

In conclusion, in the modern era, although competitive online shops are becoming far more growing rathern than town markets. From my point of view, both online and offline shops are significantly important in the prsent and future. Undeniably, local and cities shops can not disappear in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you disagree that online shopping will cause every town and city shop to close, and you maintain that both forms of shopping will continue. You address both sides by explaining online convenience and the value of seeing products in person, with relevant examples such as buying groceries online and choosing a birthday gift in a store. This covers the task well overall. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that people choose physical shops for expensive items would be stronger with a reason or a specific example. To develop the response further, explain how these advantages will allow local shops to adapt and remain viable despite online competition.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The progression from online shopping’s advantages to the continuing role of physical shops is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This is a coherent arrangement, though some linking is mechanical and a few connections are unclear. For instance, “Furthermore, in online shopping has widely popular because…” does not connect its ideas smoothly, while “Consequently” introduces a conclusion that is not fully established by the preceding example. Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and make references such as “those shops” unmistakably clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss the issue, including “convenient,” “daily essentials,” “durability,” “exchange or return options,” and “competitive.” This gives the response a relevant range, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make phrases awkward, such as “shops…replace with online shopping,” “fair prices,” and “far more growing.” Several words are also repeated, particularly “shops” and “online shopping.” Aim for more natural expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, “survive” and “availability” are misspelled, and “grocery stores” or “physical retailers” could help vary your wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “While…” and a sentence beginning “although.” The paragraph structure also helps make your meaning accessible. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “shops…have been play significant role,” “all local shops in the future replace with online shopping,” and “in online shopping has widely popular.” Articles and prepositions are also often missing or misplaced, as in “it is not only convenient option” and “according individual availability.” Practise forming complete clauses with a clear subject and correctly conjugated verb, then check articles, agreement, and punctuation in each sentence.
