Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that growing rapidly increasing of online shopping will one day results to all markets in towns and cities closing. I partly agree with this statement because online shopping is convenient , easy to access but it has some drawbacks related to machines.
Primarily, it is easy to order online, can purchase anything within ten minutes through blinkit or various other platforms. Mostly youngsters order everything online from snacks to home furniture. It has many advantages including easier, sometime get a discount as many festival offer has appear. Another reason is gifts are available. In addition, it depends on people to make a payment
Secondary, many people prefer offline shopping, it is common among elders. They do not like to shopping online because of trust issues and they also like to check the quality of products. For instance, if someone has to order cooler , they like to visit market and from there they like to buy the product.
In my opinion, I believe online shoppings play an important role. But people prefer online and offline buy things because they have trust issues and they also need to check up on quality of the product.
In conclusion, In the future people will prefer online shoppings but it does not affect on shops. Because they also have their role. As many people prefer offline shoppings for conveniene and inexpensive.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant, partly agreeing position: online shopping is convenient, but some people still prefer physical shops to check products and address trust concerns. The examples of young people ordering through Blinkit and a customer buying a cooler help illustrate these points. However, the response only partially develops the task: it does not explain clearly whether all shops are likely to close, and the conclusion says online shopping will grow but shops will remain without fully resolving the question. The point about discounts and gifts is also brief, and “machines” is not explained as a drawback. The response is 20 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop reasons and examples. Extend each main point and state your position more decisively.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast between online convenience and the preference for in-person shopping gives the reader a basic line of argument. However, progression is uneven: the first body paragraph moves quickly from ordering speed to young people, discounts, gifts and payment, without showing how each point supports the argument. “Primarily” and “Secondary” signal sequence, but the latter is not the natural form here, and the conclusion repeats the preference for both types of shopping rather than drawing the ideas together. Some links between sentences are missing or unclear, particularly “In addition, it depends on people to make a payment.” Group related reasons, use clearer transitions, and make each paragraph develop one central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the basic contrast, including “online shopping,” “trust issues,” “quality of products,” “discount” and “platforms.” The examples also make the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning less clear. For example, “growing rapidly increasing” is redundant, “online shoppings” is not the usual form, and “festival offer has appear” is difficult to interpret. “Machines” is also too vague to identify the drawback you mean. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and use more precise vocabulary for the reasons behind shopping in person, such as inspecting goods or concerns about payment security.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including “I partly agree with this statement because…” and “They do not like to shopping online because…”. This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “will one day results to” instead of a correctly formed verb pattern, “can purchase anything” without a clear subject, and “they do not like to shopping,” where the verb form is incorrect. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “many festival offer has appear.” Review verb forms after modal verbs and “like,” subject–verb agreement, and article use. Building accurate sentences first will make your argument clearer.
