Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, many people prefer to do web shopping, therefore, online shopping growing subsequently. As a result, all local shops are closing. While, online shopping is very easy, convienent and time saving, local shops offer variety of choice, benefits of touch and smell, and cheaper. I partly agree with this statement beacuse, some people are still prefer to do window shopping rathar than online shopping. This essay will discuss the view and give my opinion latter.

First of all, internet shopping is very easy and convienent for people. They can buy clothes, shoes, home appliances and grocery items very easily and according to their choice. Moreover, it can saves lot of time. While, people are busy with their daily schedule, they do not have time for shopping routine items. Online shopping helps to fulfill their requirement with their smartphones. Therefore, people are prefer E-commerce. For example, my brother doing full time job and he has no time to do grocery every week. So, he prefer to buy thing from online platform which is time saving, easy and at affordable prices.

On the other hand, some people only choose buy thing from local shops, it offers them a variety of choice. Also, people gets benefit of physical touch of any product before buying it. It helps me to select good quality of things, fruits and vegetables. They are habituated with this kind of shopping or maybe they do not have enough knowledge of teleshopping. Furthermore, this goods are comparatively cheaper than online store. Basically, people can find local made products are very cheaper. Also, it offer jobs to local people, so people can start up their small business and become financial stable.

In conclusion, while online shopping is time saving and convienent, local shops offers unbeatable benefites. such as physical touch and variety of choice. Therefore, I disagree with the statement where more people ars prefer to get benefits of window shopping.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the question and give a position, stating, “I partly agree” and later “I disagree.” Your discussion presents relevant reasons on both sides: online shopping saves time, while local shops let customers inspect goods and support local employment. The example of your brother makes the convenience point more concrete. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says you partly agree, but the conclusion says you disagree, and the essay does not clearly explain whether you think all shops will eventually close. Some points, such as local products being cheaper and shoppers lacking knowledge of online shopping, are asserted rather than explained. Clarify your view on the predicted closure of all shops and develop the strongest reasons with more specific support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the main discussion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the argument visible. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “While, people are busy” does not form a clear link to the preceding sentence, and “Therefore, people are prefer E-commerce” repeats the point without advancing it. The conclusion also introduces “window shopping” without clearly linking it to the question of whether shops will close. Use linking phrases more selectively and make each paragraph build directly towards a consistent final position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “home appliances,” “physical touch,” “local made products,” and “financial stable,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts to use topic-specific terms such as “E-commerce.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “convienent,” “rathar,” “benefites,” and “teleshopping.” Some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “benefits of touch and smell,” “shopping routine items,” and “start up their small business.” These choices limit precision even when the main idea is understandable. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for shopping and business, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “While online shopping is time saving and convienent” and a reason introduced by “because.” The main ideas are usually recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “online shopping growing,” “it can saves,” “people are prefer,” and “local shops offers.” There are also incomplete or awkwardly joined clauses, as in “While, people are busy with their daily schedule,” and punctuation problems, including the lower-case sentence beginning “such as” in the conclusion. Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns; then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb.
