IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing this email to rise a concern, about an article, that your magazine publish recently.

The article is about the Guelph transit, in an article it is said that Guelph do not their own public transport, but this statement is wrong about City of Guelph. I want to make you clear that City of Guelph have their own means of public transport, and these are running profitably.

I think as an international travel magazine, it is your magazine's duty to verify each and every information before, posting in the newspaper. Moreover, several individuals read your magazine daily and completely depend on information that your travel magazine publish.

I understand that it is impossible to correct that an old article. But, I would like to suggest you, please write a another article in your magazine and correct misleading or missing information.
