You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear sir,

I am Joseph Varghese who is living in Pothiyakkara , a small town in Kerala. I am writing this to inform you that I sawed an information which is presented wrongly in your latest articles released on June 20th.

First, the reported article says that our village is used as a dump place to plastic wastes and Garbagges which is a false information. I just came after my vacation and i did not saw anything like that. there was a place where we used to dump wastes but it has been moved and now the government is collecting the garbages and recycling it.

In my opinion it is not good to state untruth information about any place will affect the Economic growth and hospitality. Pothiyakkara is a good tourist spot and this will advirsely affect the small sellers and markets.

I think its better to recall all the magazines which released this month. So, this wrong information would not get circulated to all other peoples. That is really bad for our town as well.

I hope you will take necessary steps in war footing to retain those magazines. Expecting your positive prompt soon.
