You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

While flicking through the pages of your esteemed magazine I found some inaccurate data about my town. My town's total population is 25,876 but in the magazine they have mentioned it 35,876, which is a significant difference. I would like to request you to correct the information at the earliest of your convenience.

Ever since I started reading your magazines, I have never found an incorrect information until this one. I believe it is indispensable for a magazine to present correct data in order to develop and maintain trust of their readers. Although your magazine is highly trusted and respected in the society, a single mistake can damage your reputation.

Would you be kind enough to take a prompt action? I would like to suggest that you should print a special edition with correct details. An apology for your side will not only generate a sense of ownership, but will also help to regain people's appreciation and confidence.
