Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my concern about the article I read in an International magazine about our town.
The information you have mention about our town that, it does not have much tourist attraction is not correct. There are a many places to visit for example, the beautiful mountains that are covered in snow, the river that has beautiful birds by it and also the massive parks with play area for children.
your magazine is well known and is read by many peoples around the world. Providing incorrect information not only attracts less tourist to our town but also give a wrong impression to the people outside of our village.
I suggest that you should visit our town and I can give your tour around to the amazing attraction. I believe this will give you a clear view and will be aid you to understand my concern as well as correct the information in next article.
Hope you will take consider my request and take necessary action.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You corrected the information regarding tourist attractions, explained the importance of accuracy for the magazine's reputation, and suggested a practical solution. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to an editor. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are slightly more developed; for instance, when explaining why accuracy is important, you could elaborate on the potential economic impact on the town's local businesses rather than just mentioning the 'wrong impression'. Overall, the task requirements are fully met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter follows a logical structure with clear paragraphing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the task, which helps the reader follow your argument easily. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'not only... but also' and 'for example', to link your ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and transition phrases to connect sentences more fluidly. Some transitions feel slightly mechanical, but the overall progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow throughout the letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using words like 'concern', 'impression', and 'attraction' correctly. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'peoples' (should be 'people') and 'give your tour' (should be 'give you a tour'). Additionally, some phrasing is slightly repetitive. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and ensure that pluralization and word forms are used accurately. The current vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly, but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'The information you have mention' (should be 'mentioned'), 'a many places' (should be 'many places'), and 'will be aid you' (should be 'will aid you'). Punctuation is generally functional, though some comma usage is inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score.
