IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to let you know about the wrong information about my town I read in your international travel magazine article.

The address of an beautiful park of our town was wrong. Firstly, the writer of an article wrote 26 St in place of 25 St Nw. Secondly, the information about hiking route is wrong because it starts from left after crossing the parking area but not from right.

As, it is very crucial to give right information in the article because this wrong details will confuse our tourists to reach at this beautiful park, along with hiking route wrong information make every tourists to not reach on the main point of the hike.

I hope your magazine will write another article soon with correct information about our beautiful town at front page. I am waiting for your new correct article.
