Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear sir,
I am writing this letter regarding the information which is wrong in Future magazine company . I really heard a lot about Future magazine but this time i think your staff got misinformation about my town.
I read the magazine which is published by future magazine and your staff wrote a some complaints about the town where i am living right now like robberies and transport service. The magazine mentioned that bus services are not good and even got delayed of hours and also in magazine written that robberies are happening a lot in city. But this is not true because in my town bus services is really good because personally i am using bus on daily basis to got to work and also i never heard about robberies.
Magazines are one of most popular readings in people because people prefer this more than the news . So, if magazine have right information then people will come and visit the town because in our town there are number of places to vist like museum and parks.
To get right information about the town i think company should send their staff members to take surveys like how the things are actually going in town and also should ask people about robberies and they can look into files from station to get better information about crime.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: correcting the misinformation, explaining the importance of accuracy, and suggesting a solution. Your position is clear throughout the letter. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat basic. For example, when explaining why accuracy is important, you could have expanded more on the potential economic impact on the town's tourism industry rather than just stating that people prefer magazines to news. To reach a higher band, ensure your arguments are more fully extended and supported with more sophisticated reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'but', 'so', and 'also'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of linking words is quite repetitive. The transition between the correction of the facts and the suggestion for the magazine could be smoother. To improve, try to use a wider variety of cohesive devices, such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in light of this', to better connect your ideas and improve the overall flow of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'misinformation', 'robberies', and 'surveys'. However, there is a lack of variety, and some word choices are slightly unnatural or imprecise, such as 'readings' instead of 'publications' or 'got to work' instead of 'commute'. There are also some minor errors in collocation. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise and varied vocabulary, and pay closer attention to how words are typically used together in English.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the magazine', 'a some complaints'), verb tenses, and prepositions ('in magazine written', 'delayed of hours'). Additionally, there are some punctuation issues, such as missing commas and inconsistent capitalization. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
