You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

I hope this letter finds you well.

I am writing this to discuss regarding the article published in your travel magazine regarding my town Amritsar. I would like to bring this to your notice that the nformation mentioned in the article regarding the location of the ancient fort of Amritsar is inaccurate.

The article mentions that the ancient fort is near the bus station. however, the location of the fort is in the countryside which is 5 kms away towards the town borders.

As your magazine is among the most read travel magazine across the country it is crucial that the information given in it is accurate. As it can be misguiding and misleading to the travellers who are visiting the town for the first time and can affect their itienary and budget as well. It can also lead to them losing trust in your magazine and that would mean you lose on your readers/ consumers.

I would like to request that the information gets corrected and a mail is sent to all readers along with copy of the updated magazine with rectified information.
