You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

Dear Sir,

I am writing in response to an article recently publlished in your international travel magazine about my hometown. Although I appreciate your interest in our town, I noticed that some of the infomation presented was inaccurate and some of missed information.

First, article mentioned that there are vey few recreational facilities and that town is difficult to access. This is incorrect. In fact, our town has plenty of the facilities such as, well-maintained parks, modern shopping centre, restaurants and entertainment facilities. Moreover, public transport has renovationed in recent years, which making it convenient for both residents and tourists to travel around the area. The article also mentioned that the town has a polluted environment, whereas it is actually known for its clean surroundings and beautiful natural scenery.

It is extremely important for a respected international magazine such as yours to provide accurate information because many readers may rely on your articles when deciding where to spend their holidays.

I would suggest that you publish a correction in you next edition and update the online version of the article immediately. In addition, your editiorial team should verify information through reliable local sources or local authorities before publishing future travel articles.

I hope you will take this matter seriously and correct the mistakes as soon as possible.
