Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you about the wrong information in an international travel magazine regarding my hometown.

However, recently I read an international travel magazine which had some wrong information about my town, Actually, this article is representing the location of brand new historical museum which was recently opened in Kurukshetra. Unfortunately, the address of the given location is inaccurate, they printed in the magazine near new bus stand, opposite Tirupati Balaji Temple but it is not true the correct place is old bus stand, opposition of Durga temple.
Actually, it is crucial to give accurate details with regard to everything because so many people always follow the instructions whatever mentioned in the magazines.
Regarding this mismatch information magazine should launch again a new one with correction in it. Even editor must inform about providing the wrong information which would help people to know about the exact things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: correcting the information, explaining the importance of accuracy, and suggesting a solution. Your tone is appropriate for a formal letter to an editor. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you explain why accuracy is important, the explanation is brief and could be expanded to better reflect the impact on tourism or the magazine's reputation. The correction of the museum's location is clear, but the phrasing is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more detailed reasoning or context.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical structure, with a clear opening and closing. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on the word 'Actually' to start sentences, which disrupts the flow and makes the writing feel less natural. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the correction of the information and the suggestion for the magazine could be smoother. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', 'In light of this') would improve the overall cohesion and help the reader follow your argument more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'international travel magazine' and 'historical museum'. However, there are instances of awkward word choice and collocation, such as 'mismatch information' (should be 'misinformation' or 'incorrect information') and 'launch again a new one' (should be 'issue a correction'). There is also a lack of variety in your word choice, with some words repeated unnecessarily. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on more precise collocations would significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. For example, 'I fond of reading' is missing a verb, and 'at every weekends' contains a pluralization error. There are also issues with article usage and prepositions, such as 'opposition of Durga temple' instead of 'opposite the Durga temple'. While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct prepositional phrases will help improve your accuracy.
