You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

Dear Sir,

I am writing to formally express the dissatisfaction on the article published in your magazine, titled-an international travel magazine as the information provided was inaccurate about the city called Amritsar, Punjab.

The information provided in the article was about the lack of facilities like water sanitation, poor waste management, etc. in the city. As the resident of this city, I can confirm that since last ten years the residents have been receiving sanitized water and the municipal waste corporations are disposing waste at the designated sites.

In my perspective, it is essential for the magazine to provide correct information regarding this city as it will affect the tourism, which will result in affecting GDP. Additionally, a substantial surge in unemployment could be faced by locals.

I would request to the editor and the team to provide accurate information by republishing the article and an official apology to the citizens for publishing wrong information. I hope the action will be taken as soon as possible.
