You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to you because I was reading one of yours travel magazine which contained some wrong information about my town.
I was reading an article and I found out that it has some tour guidance for Sri Harminder sahib in Amritsar, Punjab. But according to the write-up, it is situated in Anandpur sahib. These two cities are different and are very far from each other. Its very important to print right information about every topic because it can mislead general public. For instance, if people wants to visit this spiritual place, they would go to a different city by reading this report.
In my opinion, the faster way to correct this info is to print right information about this column in next magazine to be distributed tomorrow.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you will look into this matter and solve it as soon as possible.
Thank you
Yours faithfully
Sukhpreet kaur

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You clearly identified the incorrect information regarding the location of Sri Harminder Sahib, explained the importance of accuracy to avoid misleading the public, and provided a concrete suggestion for rectification. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to an editor. To reach a higher band, ensure that your explanation of why accuracy is important is slightly more developed; for example, you could mention the potential negative impact on the magazine's reputation or the inconvenience caused to international tourists who rely on your publication for travel planning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the purpose of the letter to the specific correction, the rationale, and finally the suggested solution. Paragraphing is used, though the structure could be improved by separating the introduction, the body (correction and explanation), and the conclusion more distinctly. You use some cohesive devices like 'For instance' and 'In my opinion', but the flow between sentences could be smoother. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'nevertheless') would help improve the overall cohesion of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary such as 'spiritual place' and 'mislead'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and repetitive phrasing, such as 'right information' and 'wrong information'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations. For instance, instead of 'wrong information', you could use 'inaccurate details' or 'factual errors'. Additionally, ensure you use the correct articles, such as 'the travel magazine' instead of 'yours travel magazine'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'one of yours travel magazine' (should be 'one of your travel magazines') and 'if people wants' (should be 'if people want'). There are also minor punctuation and capitalization errors, such as 'sir' (should be 'Sir') and 'sukhpreet kaur' (should be 'Sukhpreet Kaur'). To achieve a higher band, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent use of articles. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures would also demonstrate better control.
