IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to bring to your attention about the information printed in your international travel magazine about my hometown, the city of Chandigarh. I would request you please make the changes on page 29 of a travel magazine where written as that "Rock Garden" was built by Nek Rai, but was built by Nek Chand.

It is of great significance that correct information is given to the individuals. Magazines are read by many people when they travel from one country to another country. Even some individuals get attracted or influenced by travel spots and they explore different kind of cities and a country. So, it is essential that absolute right information to be printed in travel magazines.

I would really appreciate if you could please make the desirable changes. I would be looking forward to hearing from you and you swift action.
