Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: correcting the information, explaining the importance of accuracy, and suggesting a solution. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the importance of accuracy, the explanation regarding 'self-respect' is slightly vague and could have been expanded to focus more on the legal or social implications for the residents. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though it occasionally slips into informal phrasing. To improve, ensure that your arguments are fully extended and clearly linked to the context of the magazine article.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical structure, with clear paragraphing for each requirement of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover' and 'As a suggestion', to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas is slightly disjointed, such as in the third paragraph where the transition from requesting a revision to the impact on 'self-respect' feels abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illegal possession', 'municipalities corporation', and 'NOC' (No Objection Certificate). However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'day before yesterday' (which is better expressed as 'recently' or 'in your recent issue') and 'this particular houses of area'. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the vocabulary lacks the precision required for a higher band. Focusing on more natural collocations and avoiding informal repetitions like 'please please' will help elevate your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Your writing contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'we are living in this area from past 50 years' (should be 'have been living... for the past 50 years') and 'revise your information from article' (missing articles). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on verb tenses and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
