You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Myself Ms. Krupa, a resident of Mehsana. I am writing this letter to bring to your attention about the incorrect information published in one of the articles.

The article mentioned incorrect reason for why "Mehsana" was named as "Pink town" in 1947. The correct reason for it is that during that era the town was decorated with pink petals of roses in order to welcome one of the kings- "Ranaji". Hence, it was named Pink town after that event. However, the article mentioned about the color of the walls were pink as a reason for its name. I have attached the historical evidence as a proof to this letter.

It is extremely important to avoid misleading information conveyed to people through your magazine as this is a critical event that took place during that period and it leaves many visitors in dilemma. I would like you to publish another article stating the correct information and if possible apologize to the public.
