You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

I am writing to you regarding a mistake in an article published in the latest issue of Young Travel Magazine.

The article states that the local people of Etihad Town arrange monthly bake sales to support local small businesses. However, that is not the case. In fact, the main purpose of organising these events is to raise funds for charity.

Every rupee collected helps to change lives; hence, it is crucial to provide readers with accurate information. This would greatly help us promote our cause. We already often face scrutiny over our events from some members of the local community who are unable to understand our cause.

Lastly, I would recommend that you stop distributing any further copies of this edition and publish a correction on social media so that readers are made aware of the error.
