You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.

Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter

• correct the information in the article
• explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
• suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this to correct the information of my town which was printed in an article in your magazine.

In your international travel magazine you mentioned that our town Owen Sound was ruled by Britishers from 1850 to 1947 which was completely incorrect. Owen Sound was always ruled by kingdom rule untill the constitution was introduced in year 1945.

It is very important information for our residents because most of the people in town are belongs to previous royal family and their relatives. Now all of them are upset after magazine was sold in market. Moreover, all the original proofs of this history are present in the City hall of Owen Sound including pictures, documents, weapons, and currency.

I am suggesting you to please visit our town and look at the facts about the history of Owen Sound. After your visit if you feel you did a mistake in printing please make a new article.
