My town is not like other town because it has many historical places like an old building which is the main attraction of our town. Many toursim visit there to explore its culture and history, helping them exploring new history. Another famous tourist attraction is the traditional local market where people from a different cities come for shopping.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses the task only minimally. While all three bullet points from the prompt are touched upon, the ideas remain limited, highly repetitive, and under-developed. For instance, the instruction to correct information is handled in a very circular and vague manner through statements like 'You mention some incorrect information about my town,' without clearly specifying what the article actually claimed versus the reality. The explanation for why correct information matters simply lists generic points such as learning about culture and admiring the beauty, and the suggested action merely asks the editor to 'exchange this information' rather than offering a concrete resolution. Furthermore, 10 words copied directly from the prompt were noted, leaving the independent content minimal.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organization with an appropriate opening and closing, and paragraphs are used to separate different parts of the letter. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the flow is hindered by repetitive phrasing and inadequate or mechanical use of cohesive devices. For example, the transition between sentences often relies on simple repetition rather than logical referencing. Pronoun referencing is also weak, leading to sentences that feel disconnected. While the layout resembles a standard letter, the internal structure lacks the cohesive ties required for a higher level of organization.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common items related to travel and tourism, but these attempts are frequently marred by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and form, such as 'traditional landscaps', 'beauti', and 'toursim visit'. There is also a heavy reliance on repetitive words like 'town', 'information', and 'correct'. These lexical inaccuracies and limitations cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the vocabulary from feeling natural or sufficiently varied.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few faulty attempts at complex forms. Frequent errors occur across various structures, including missing articles ('in magazine'), incorrect verb forms ('an article contained some information'), preposition misuse ('visit to explore'), and plural agreement issues ('a different cities'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader, and punctuation is occasionally basic or neglected, keeping the overall grammatical control at a restrictive level.
