You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concern about an article which publised in your international travel magazine regarding my town, Port Hardy. Unfortunately, some of the information provided in the article is incorrect.
Firstly, article states that there are very limited tourist attractions in our town which is totally wrong because Port Hardy is well known for its beautiful scenary, wildlife and outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy hiking, tracking, ocean view, whale watching and exploring nearby baches. Apart from this, there are several visitor attractions which are worth visiting.
It is crucial for the magazine to provide accurate information to the public because they relp on magazine when they planning their trips. Despite of it, it puts detrimental effect on the local businesses and national income of the country.
I would suggest that your magazine investigate the matter and publish correct information in next article and you can also verify information from the tourist officers.
I look forward to seeing the necessary corrections.
Yours Sincerely,
kirandeep kaur

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requirements: you correct the claim about limited attractions, explain the effects of inaccurate information on travellers and local businesses, and recommend investigation and publication of corrections. The examples of hiking, wildlife and whale watching make the correction relevant, and your purpose remains clear throughout. The explanation of the magazine’s wider impact is less developed: “national income of the country” is asserted without explaining how inaccurate coverage would affect it. The proposed response is also clear, though it could be more specific about correcting the existing article, such as issuing an online correction or contacting readers. Overall, the letter fulfils the task and supports its main points, with some ideas more fully explained than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression from the reason for writing, to the correction, the importance of accuracy, and your suggested action. Paragraphing supports these distinct purposes, while signposts such as “Firstly,” “Apart from this,” and “I would suggest” help readers follow the argument. The closing also fits the formal letter format. Some linking is a little mechanical, and “Despite of it” does not clearly connect the ideas that follow; a direct link such as “In addition, inaccurate information can harm…” would be smoother. The attractions are presented as a list, and the relationship between them and the claim that there are several visitor attractions could be made more explicit. The overall organisation is logical and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the purpose and includes relevant expressions such as “tourist attractions,” “accurate information,” and “local businesses.” You also attempt more formal language, including “detrimental effect,” which shows an effort to use less common vocabulary. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “publised,” “scenary,” “tracking,” and “baches” appear where the intended words are likely “published,” “scenery,” “trekking,” and “beaches.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “ocean view” and “puts detrimental effect.” Choose collocations carefully and proofread spelling, especially in key descriptive details. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because they relp on magazine when they planning their trips” and a relative clause in “an article which publised…”. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the letter. For example, “article states” needs a determiner (“the article states”), and “when they planning” needs an auxiliary (“when they are planning”). In “your magazine investigate,” the verb form should be “investigates” after “suggest that” in this construction, or you could write “I suggest that your magazine should investigate.” Review articles, auxiliary verbs, and subject–verb agreement. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
