Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, people are more tend to give opinion for all the situations that are happening around us. There are some individuals who think that having friends with same mindset is better when it comes to giving opinions. However, others think that it should be opposite.I strongly agree to have friends with different opinion can be beneficial. I will discuss both views and elaborate my position in upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost argument to justify my stand is that you can learn some skills such as adjusting to the situation and interpersonal communication. To explain it, when you are discussing about the topic on which you are disagree with other person, you can learn how to prove your point of view, how to convince the people and can develop good communication skills. For example, before I never argue with anyone, but when I connected with my friend Rutvi, who is always disagree. Later, I developed skills how to convince her and try to accommodate with the situation.
Additionally, it can help to gain some general knowledge. For instance, if you have a friends that can advice you more on the normal things you can gain significant knowledge rather than individuals who are always agree in all conditions.
On the contrary, some others are of the opposite opinion. They claimed that if they have same thinking friends they can enjoy more and less chances of any fights. To exemplify it, if two people have separate point of views, it can increase the opportunity of internal clashes in the group.
To conclude, it can be commented that having disagreements can significantly help to develop skills, communications. However, it can lead to some internal conflicts that cannot be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task, presenting both views and a clear personal position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that disagreeing friends help develop communication skills, the explanation is brief and relies on a very personal, anecdotal example. The second body paragraph regarding general knowledge is also quite thin. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning or broader societal examples rather than relying solely on personal experience. Your position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis needs to be more consistent to fully satisfy the requirements for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'The first and foremost argument', 'Additionally', and 'On the contrary' to signal transitions between ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. There are also instances where the flow between sentences is a bit abrupt, such as in the second paragraph where the transition to the example feels sudden. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion, which helps the reader follow your argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'mindset', 'interpersonal communication', and 'accommodate'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and minor errors, such as 'people are more tend to give opinion' (should be 'more inclined to') and 'who is always disagree' (should be 'who always disagrees'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing in several places. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I strongly agree to have friends with different opinion' (should be 'I strongly agree that having friends with different opinions'), 'before I never argue' (should be 'previously I never argued'), and 'if they have same thinking friends' (should be 'if they have friends with the same way of thinking'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are noticeable and occur with enough frequency to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
