Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is stated that you have given a scenario in which its better to choose friends who agree to same opinion while in other case people beleive it's good to have friends who sometimes disagree with them.

In the first situation people who agree with same opinion have best bond among them. Their compatibility match with each other. They made a decision same, laugh at same time. They have more comfort zone among them. without thinking its easy for them to talk each others on any topic. Because you always believe that no one is judging to you. You feel comfortable while talking to each others

Meanwhile in such situation mostly people think that if friends always agree with them with just due to that I don't mind to their views. They think that if they always agree with opinion it should be due to flattering. so they prefer the friends who sometimes disagree with opinion.

Let me explain with example that I have a friend named Hamsa. when she is agree with my opinion i feel happy, comfortable. we make decision collectively. this has a healthy impact on our life

If she is disagreed my opinion might be we both don't have same level of understanding. we may have conflict which cause our friendship at risk so both persons have same mind they make them pleased.

But if we see reality all of them have to choose their friendship on their on way that feel them comfortable.

Beacuse everyone has its own interests to take initiatives.

So everyone views could be different.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is limited. While you mention the benefits of having friends with similar opinions, the discussion on the opposing view is somewhat vague and lacks depth. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not clearly state your own opinion as requested by the prompt. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you explicitly state your position in the introduction and reiterate it in the conclusion. The ideas are relevant, but they need more thorough explanation and concrete examples to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the transition 'Meanwhile in such situation'. Some sentences feel disjointed, and the logical flow between ideas is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'conversely', 'consequently') and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns to improve the overall cohesion of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'agree with same opinion' and 'comfortable'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'compatibility match' instead of 'compatibility' or 'compatible'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to social dynamics and interpersonal relationships. Avoid repeating the same words; instead, use synonyms and more sophisticated collocations to demonstrate a broader range of language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently omit articles (e.g., 'agree with same opinion') and struggle with subject-verb agreement and verb tenses (e.g., 'she is agree' instead of 'she agrees'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly the use of articles and correct verb forms. Proofreading for common errors like these will significantly improve the clarity and quality of your writing.
