Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear structure, but it fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for your own opinion, you did not explicitly state or develop your personal stance on the matter. The ideas presented, such as the benefits of similar opinions for business partnerships, are relevant but remain somewhat under-developed due to the brevity of the essay. To improve, ensure you fully explore your arguments with more detailed examples and clearly state your own position in the introduction and conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To expound,' 'In addition,' and 'On behalf of others.' However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'On behalf of others,' which is not the correct idiomatic usage here. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall structure feel incomplete. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'imperative,' 'obstacles,' and 'distinct.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'kith whom with they can share,' 'different opine,' and 'stronger their relationships' (should be 'strengthen'). These errors occasionally impede the natural flow of the text. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations correctly and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'There are some people think' (missing 'who'), 'I will going to discuss' (incorrect verb form), and 'if both are agree' (incorrect passive construction). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage to improve accuracy.
