Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay attempts to address both views, the discussion is underdeveloped and lacks depth. The personal opinion is not clearly stated or sustained throughout the text. The conclusion is incomplete, as the final sentence trails off without finishing the thought. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure that all parts of the prompt are fully addressed in a complete, structured essay format.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or formal conclusion, and the paragraphing is inconsistent. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences are often disjointed. While there are some attempts at linking words like 'first of all' and 'after that', the overall flow is hindered by the lack of cohesive devices and logical transitions between the two viewpoints. To improve, focus on using clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employing a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'gifting by GOD' instead of 'a gift from God' and 'opposite opinions' instead of 'opposing opinions'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient for a higher band score, as it relies on simple, everyday language. To improve, try to learn and incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms related to the topic of friendship and communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammar is characterized by frequent errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Ahmad get advise'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they were spend'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'because he was don't like listening'). Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, verb tenses, and ensuring that your sentences are grammatically complete.
