Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are number of who believe that having a friends with same vision or opinion better. On the other hand some people think it is better to have some friends who do not always agree with you. I believe that having friends with same opinion is good but the friend who has different point of view on things is crucial.
To start with, it is easy to be a friend with the person who is always agrees with you or have same opinion on things. The selection of the things would be the same as well as there will be no debate about anything. For example about the politics of the country or the other affairs. It feels very nice to have friends like that. The bond with that person would be more solid than the person who has different opinion.
On the contrary, being a friend with the person who does not always agrees with your opinion can be bit difficult. Having different opinions on things can create arguments between them. But I believe that it is important to have someone in your circle who see things differently. Such a person can show us some factors that we are missing. For instance, In my friend zone I have a person who has different opinion then me. He always show me the factors that I am missing.
In Conclusion, I believe that it is easy and good to be a friend with person who has same mindset. But the person who has different mind set about things is better to grow and learn new things in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both viewpoints and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the comfort of agreement versus the growth potential of disagreement. However, the development is somewhat limited; the examples provided, such as 'politics of the country', are brief and could be expanded with more specific detail to fully support the arguments. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level, which prevents it from reaching a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To start with', 'On the contrary', and 'In Conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are occasional issues with referencing and flow, such as the slightly abrupt transition between the second and third paragraphs. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific language like 'mindset', 'point of view', and 'solid bond'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing or minor errors, such as 'friend zone' (which is used incorrectly here) and 'different opinion then me' (should be 'than'). To improve, the student should focus on more precise collocations and a wider variety of vocabulary to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a friends', 'the person'), subject-verb agreement ('always agrees', 'who see things'), and prepositions. These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. The student needs to work on basic grammatical accuracy, specifically pluralization and verb forms, to achieve a higher score. Complex structures are attempted but often contain minor errors.
