Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well in todays world all people have different mind set which we can not judge and its kind of tricky that what they think so it is difficult to judge.
My point of view on this some friends we choose they have same opinions which is good because we can get along with each other and our point of view can match. As for example if we decide to go for tour and if i like some place then even he will agree on that and we do not have any clash between us. However it goes the same with him which mostly I do agree on what he always advice me because some points of his does give me some sort of knowledge which is very useful and gives me positive feeling.
On the other hand some friends disagree because they have there own opinion which is good. Moreover they feel that what they judge is right which we can not force them to change. If we look at the positive part is like what ever step they take is correct where we are some times we are wrong, there they get upset. But if we think in a positive way is like may be he is right on his part so we cannot tell him to change is opinion.
Here I would put my judgement, like every individual should have there own views and even sometimes friends should agree because if we have a good friends we should agree though he is right or wrong. So even he feels good about it and he may listen to you also sometimes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention that friends with similar opinions avoid conflict and friends with different opinions offer new perspectives, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. The conclusion is somewhat confusing, as you suggest that one should agree with friends even if they are wrong, which contradicts the prompt's focus on the value of disagreement. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a clear, distinct point and provides a more logical explanation of why that perspective is valid.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and awkward phrasing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'On the other hand', they are often used to connect sentences that do not logically follow one another. The referencing is sometimes ambiguous, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, focus on using linking words that accurately reflect the relationship between your ideas and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying on simple terms like 'good', 'right', and 'wrong'. There are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'go for tour' instead of 'go on a trip' and 'give me some sort of knowledge' instead of 'provide valuable insights'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which prevents you from expressing your ideas with precision or sophistication. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to social relationships and interpersonal dynamics, and focus on using more accurate collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some points of his does give me'), incorrect pronoun usage ('there own opinion' instead of 'their'), and awkward sentence structures. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly connected compound sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which occasionally hinders readability. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that pronouns are used correctly. Practising the use of complex sentences with correct subordinating conjunctions will also help improve your range.
