Student answer (Band 5.5)
Well, friends plays a key role in everyone's life and having good friend is a blessing from God. Individuals says that having friends who always agree with you is good, hence some thinks Good friend should also has to disagree on some things which are wrong, from my point of view its good to be disagree sometime.
At very first glance, when we are choosing friends we always choose friend with whom our behaviour match and he/she could be always agree what we are doing to do and that happens due human psychology is designed like that, I can that thing is good as well because when you find partner who has same opinion will enjoys more rather than the person with different mind, for instance when students bunk their class or lecture they all have same thought and agree on same opinion, even its impacts their study but still they do that.
On the otherhand, i think its good to disagree sometime, because some time when friends take wrong decision we should have to oppose that as well, because everyone process thoughts in their mind that things which his/ her friend doing right or wrong, so when he/she finds that thing that they are doing are wrong and consequences of that is not good, then its good to oppose that opinion and not get involved in any wrong activity
In conclusion, when we seeing both has their pros and cons but it depends on the individual that what kind opinion he/she is getting agree. So its good be disagree on things which can cause serious consequences

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that friends who agree can be enjoyable, the example of students 'bunking' class is a bit narrow. Similarly, the argument for disagreeing is relevant but lacks depth in terms of how this strengthens a relationship or personal growth. To improve, ensure that each point is supported by more detailed reasoning or broader examples. The position is consistent, but the overall development of the arguments needs to be more thorough to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'At very first glance' and 'On the otherhand' are used, but the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between the pros and cons and the individual's choice is slightly muddled. Improving the variety and precision of linking words would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'wrong', and 'things'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'having good friend is a blessing' (should be 'a good friend') and 'get involved in any wrong activity'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to social dynamics and interpersonal relationships, and pay closer attention to singular/plural noun agreement.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('friends plays', 'some thinks', 'friend should also has to'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors, such as 'I can that thing is good as well because when you find partner who has same opinion will enjoys more'. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a great starting point for improvement.
