Student answer (Band 5.0)
I partially agree with this idea. People have different opinions as well as variety of mindsets, however every individual have a right to agree or disagree with others point of you. Some people are alike but some people have totally different opinions.
Firstly if we talk about having a friend which have same thoughts or we can say similar thing. So it benifit it alot in many cases. If friends want to catchup and they have similar thinking, they don’t have any conflict about choosing the ambiance or venue. They don’t have an issue which food they will eat. Beacyse of having similar mindset they cannot fight on songs playlist while driving. So helped it alot in many ways.
Secondly, if we discussed about having a friend with different perspectives. It is also give you alot to advatnges you can share ideas on different topics. Having two different opinions can lead to make good ideas. You can try different cuisines as well as different places. It will help you alot in both ways.
If there are pros so they have cons as well. When you have same thinking if you fight and you both have ego so it will be difficult for another person to initiate first. If you have different values so it can also be difficult to manage everytime.
Concluding it, something it better having same opinions however it is also neccessary having a different mindset for a long lasting friendship. That’s why i partially agree with the statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is quite limited. The arguments regarding 'choosing the ambiance' or 'songs playlist' are somewhat trivial and lack the depth expected for a Band 6 or higher. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, you should focus on developing your ideas with more substantial reasoning and real-world examples rather than focusing on minor daily conveniences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'So it benifit it alot' or 'If there are pros so they have cons as well'. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs is hindered by repetitive sentence structures. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') would help create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic words like 'good', 'different', and 'ideas'. There are several spelling errors, such as 'benifit', 'Beacyse', 'advatnges', and 'neccessary', which occasionally distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is just sufficient to communicate the basic message, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. You should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to social relationships and interpersonal dynamics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every individual have', 'it is also give you'), incorrect word forms, and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors impede the flow of the writing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
