IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people think it's better to choose friends who always have the same opinions as them. Other people believe it's good to have friends who sometimes disagree with them.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

When we choose friend,we get several option like some friends are having same mindset like us and some friends are disappoint on sometimes but according to me, somtimes friend should disagree on somepoint because we learn lots of thing from it.

First of all , we talk about having friends with same mindset.When we have friends like that, we usually make some mistake as it is human nature.We made some mistake on making decision and they are easily agree to our decision beacause they are think same thing like us. For instances,if i do not have good in mathemetics,i choose charted account in my career.So,they agree to me but they do not suggest to me that i need to choose whatever i like it.Beacause they think like that when we learn, nothing is impossible.

However, some friends disappoint about some decision. They suggest to you that you do not need to do these instead you are good in these and also sometimes we save ourselves from making any big mistake . For example , I want to move abroad but i can't live without my family so , i decided to sacrifice with my dream but they told me that you can come back here after several years when you make your career and you become storong and independent person and your family will proud on you.

As per my opinion , friendship is more important part of our life so, I prefer to choose friend sometimes disagree with them.
