Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is a debatable issue among individuals that it is good to make friends whether who have same prospective all the time or have different thinking.
There are some reasons behind this situation, which i will explain with my opinion in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, there are some reasons why people says it is better to have friends who have same thoughts. First and Foremost, they can do good teamwork.Because when they have same mindset then they will not only know what to do next in the task, they are doing but also they will support each other. For example, In Fifa world cup 26 spain team had same mindset which helped them to won the cup. Moreover, they can start their own business. To explain it more, they can come up with the same idea and due to their same opinions they can make it real by begining the business.
However, there are some reasons why individuals think that they should have friends who have some different opinion. Help to make better decision. To justify it, when their friends have different prospective because sometime they have more knowlegde about something then whose kind of friends can help people to make good choice. Furthermore, they will help them to grow more. Because sometimes people think that they doing best in their live but their friends show them to what they can do more so which will assit them to get more success.
In conculsion, friends with same thinking will be helpful in teamwork and partnership while those who have different opinion will help to make good decision and better for their growth.According to me, prople should have both type of friends in their life, whom will help them in every situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on friendship and providing a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While the body paragraphs introduce relevant points such as teamwork, business partnerships, and personal growth, some ideas remain under-developed or are supported by weak examples, such as the reference to the Spain team in the FIFA World Cup. The writer presents a clear position throughout the essay, but the reasoning in certain sections lacks sufficient extension and depth, which places this aspect of the writing firmly within the expectations for this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into logical paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. The use of cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'First and Foremost', and 'To justify it' tends to follow a rigid formula rather than flowing naturally. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, and transitional links between sentences could be smoother to establish a more seamless progression of ideas from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating a basic range sufficient to communicate the main ideas. The writer attempts to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'prospective' instead of 'perspective' and 'partnership', but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and spelling, such as 'begining' instead of 'beginning' and 'conculsion'. While these lexical inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they restrict the precision of the argument and highlight the limitations in vocabulary control, keeping the response at this particular level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to construct multi-clause sentences. However, there are some frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding missing articles, prepositions, and verb form agreements, such as 'friends who have same prospective' and 'people says'. Although these errors occur across the text, they rarely impede overall communication. The control over complex structures is inconsistent, and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods, further reflect the grammatical characteristics associated with this band.
