Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary scenario of the world, individuals select their friends wisely as per their vibes and cognitive thinking process. Therefore, few people contend that if their friends support their ideas and always say yes without contradictory opinions, then they consider them good for themselves. However, other has consider the truth which is opposite, like they choose friends who make things correct irrespective of feeling or emotional situation. In this essay, i will demonstrate the both point of views with relevant illustrations and conclude it with the opinion.

To commence with, most of the time we consider those people our friend who always ready to perform anything without any comment or rational concept of perception, sometimes it can be detrimental for us, but naturally we fond of them. To explain it, often individuals tend to listen yes in every context from their loved ones, somehow they end up taking wrong decisions for those, they suffer later on. For example, as per the report of the newyork times, the information appeared that the school mates and friends select the same strem what their friends selecting for the future, it includes the jobs and career as well, and seldom they reliaze it was the influential decision, which was made by them, end up regreat. Therefore, selection of friends should be wise, irrespective of their own imagination.

Other persons who reckon that, the friends should be real who always suggest you the right path without the irrelevant agreements, to enahace it, nowadays, people prefer to have a collegues with them who provide them a perfect recomendation regarding their life, in context of everything, so they end up with positive future aspects without any discrimination. To illustarte it, as per the survey which was conducted by the American express in 2025, shows that the people who prefer to have friends with opposite opinion in few circumstances, they appeared to be more succesfull with the positive aspects. Taking evidence into the consideration, right friends provide the right direction with positive attitude which push you towards accomplishing the tremendous success.

To conclude it with my respective opinion, I firmly reckon that the wise selection of a friend is essential as other indispensable aspects of our life, because friends are the ones who always dealt with you in your most important decisions of life. Here, i will always select a person who not only say yes to me in everything but also have intellectual to say no for the wrong things. So, its important to have right people in your vicinity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—having friends with the same opinions versus having friends who disagree—and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While the first body paragraph attempts to explain the negative consequences of always agreeing with friends using an example about career choices, the argument is somewhat convoluted and relies on vague generalisations. The second body paragraph similarly introduces a survey regarding successful people, but the support lacks depth and clarity in linking the evidence back to the prompt effectively. To reach a higher level, the ideas need more extended, rigorous explanation and stronger, more precise illustrative examples that directly reinforce the core arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to organise the response into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and awkward, relying heavily on formulaic transitions such as "To commence with", "To explain it", and "To illustrate it". Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in sentences like "they end up taking wrong decisions for those, they suffer later on", where pronoun reference is muddled. Moving towards a higher band requires more natural, seamless transitions and more precise management of cohesive devices rather than relying on repetitive formulaic phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting less common items such as "contemporary scenario", "detrimental", and "indispensable". However, there are noticeable limitations and inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form. For instance, phrases like "cognitive thinking process", "other has consider the truth", and "strem what their friends selecting" contain awkward collocations and spelling errors. Additionally, terms like "reliaze", "regreat", "collegues", and "recomendation" reflect persistent spelling issues. To achieve a higher score, the vocabulary must be deployed with greater precision, natural collocation, and higher accuracy in spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambition in sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly regarding article usage, subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and clause structures. Examples include "demonstrate the both point of views", "we fond of them", and "friends should be real who always suggest you". Complex structures often contain faults, such as in "the people who prefer to have friends with opposite opinion in few circumstances, they appeared to be more succesfull". These errors persist across the response and require careful revision to ensure smoother reading and a higher level of structural accuracy.
