Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued by some individuals that it is beneficial to have comrades of same thinking, while others think amigos of different opinions are better. Although both former and latter point of views have numerous benefits, I believe that friends with different views are more beneficial because it improves individuals' qualities as well as broaden their exposure. Both viewpoints should be discussed in following paragraphs.
Those who support the idea of companions of same opinions are better, cite various reasons. Firstly, it increases persons' self-esteem. In other words, individuals feel more motivated, and it contributes to their success because in future, some of them start their businesses togeather and have to do less struggle compared to a single person. As a result, they will get successfull easily.
On the other hand, there are numerous benefits of friends of different viewpoints. First and foremose is that friends will tell them where they are going wrong, and tell them from their experience about which things are right or wrong. In addition, individuals can learn something new from their friends, which will be fruitful for them, and it aids to broaden the exposure of the masses. Besides, If friends support their amigos in the wrong decisions, it is harmful for them.
To recapitulate, I believe that friends of opposing viewpoints are better beacuse it improves the persons' abilities and tell them what not to do. Even though there are some merits of same viewpoints are motivation and confidence, the latter notion teach them the qualities that are fruitful for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for friends with different opinions, explaining that they can identify mistakes and broaden a person’s exposure. The opposing view is also relevantly represented through the ideas of self-esteem, motivation, and working together. However, these points are not developed equally: the same-opinion argument is supported mainly by a brief, unclear example about starting businesses, while the benefits of disagreement are explained more fully. The conclusion restates your position but adds little development. To strengthen the response, explain how constructive disagreement leads to better decisions and give a specific example, while clarifying how shared opinions can build confidence without simply repeating the claim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The contrast between the viewpoints is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “To recapitulate” help guide the reader. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, several transitions feel formulaic, and links between claims and explanations are sometimes abrupt. For example, the move from self-esteem to starting a business is not fully explained, and “Besides” introduces a point that could be connected more clearly to the preceding benefits. Use fewer stock transitions and make the relationship between each claim, explanation, and example explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary related to friendship and personal development, including “self-esteem,” “motivated,” “viewpoints,” and “exposure.” These choices show an effort to avoid very basic repetition. However, several expressions are unnatural or inaccurate, which limits clarity and control: “comrades of same thinking,” “friends of different viewpoints,” and “broaden the exposure of the masses” do not sound natural in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “togeather,” “successfull,” “foremose,” and “beacuse.” Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than replacing ordinary words with formal-sounding alternatives. Proofreading spelling and word forms would also make your meaning more fluent and reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although both former and latter point of views have numerous benefits” and a conditional clause beginning “If friends support their amigos…”. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “it improves individuals’ qualities as well as broaden their exposure” has a subject–verb form mismatch, and “the latter notion teach them” also needs agreement. The phrase “friends of same opinions are better, cite various reasons” has an unclear sentence structure, while “friends of opposing viewpoints are better” is missing a grammatical construction after “better.” Work on agreement, articles, and complete sentence patterns, then check punctuation and capitalization, including the capital letter in “If” mid-sentence.
