Student answer (Band 5.0)
A group of people believe that friends should be made based on opinions, wheather they matches your thoughts or differ. Friends should be the one who can respect your decision at the same time, who can guide you in right direction. Both views have their own pros and cons, which we will discuss further. I beleve that friends should be combinathin of same view and different point of view than you.
First off, when friends who have same point of view, you could do as stupid and wise thisgs as you could. The reason behind it is; they would agree on everything you say and you would agree on all. Furthermore, one will have partner to do things such as, games, watching movies, etc. For instance, I have experienced myself that two friend of mine has bought same car as one another, because they research togather and trust oneanother that much.
Second off, if the friend has different opinion than you that means you would also have anothe view point, which could be better than yours and correct one. That doesn't mean you are wrong, having another point of view is good. When ever you have to take desicion, there is someone who can show you one more way to look at things which will help you take more pricice decision. For example, survey has been conducted by
"University of Windsor" that having friend with different opinion have benifited more.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains the convenience of friends who share opinions, while the second notes that differing views can offer another perspective. Your own position is present in the introduction—friendships should combine both kinds—but the conclusion is cut off at “To conclude, friend should be wi,” so the essay does not finish by restating that view. The supporting ideas are relevant but limited: the car example illustrates shared opinions, whereas the claim about a University of Windsor survey is not explained or substantiated. The response also falls four words short of the required minimum. Develop each reason with clearer explanation and complete the conclusion to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and an attempted conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First off,” “Second off,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression is limited because the conclusion stops mid-sentence, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “you could do as stupid and wise things as you could” does not clearly connect to the following explanation about agreement. The repeated, formulaic transitions also make the organisation feel mechanical. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its main point, and ensure the final paragraph completes the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “point of view,” “respect your decision,” and “another view point,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “wheather,” “combinathin,” “togather,” and “pricise.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “do as stupid and wise things” and “same car as one another” do not convey the intended meaning smoothly. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “shared interests,” “challenge your assumptions,” and “make an informed decision” would help express the ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “When ever you have to take desicion, there is someone who can show you one more way.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “when friends who have same point of view” is an incomplete clause, while “two friend of mine has bought” has problems with plural agreement and verb form. Articles and sentence construction are also inconsistent, as in “Friends should be the one” and “friend should be.” The final sentence is unfinished, leaving the conclusion grammatically incomplete. Practise building complete clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and proofreading punctuation before submitting.
