Student answer (Band 5.5)
People have different opinions about to chosse friends. Some people thinks it's better if they have friends who has same opinions as them while other says it's good to have friends who sometimes disagree with them. I will discuess both views in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, people thinks that it's better to choose friends who always have the same opinion because it will be very easy for them to agree on one discussion. If they have the same opinion for everything there will be no reason for argument and fight and they can mantain a helathy relationship with evryone in group. For instance, if there is 10 poeple in one office group and they all agree with one people opinion about their work so, they will not have any difficulities to do wrok together for a long time of period.
On the other hand, some says that it's good to have friends who sometimes disagree with them.Because they can share their own thoughts and if they are not agree with anyone's opinion or they feel that one fo their friend is doing anything worng so others can help him toward the right direction. For example, a survey conducted by a university in India shows that the students group who have disagreemnt with each others opinion work better than the studnets who agree for only one student opinion. Because with disagreement everyone has a chance to share their opinion and later they all can agree with one best opinion.
In conculsion, sometimes it is good to have friends who agree with you for everything but it is better to have friends who sometimes disagree. Because with the help of their opinion people can have more suggestion to do their things in more better way and can have more good results.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference in the conclusion: friends who sometimes disagree can offer useful suggestions and better outcomes. The two body paragraphs also provide relevant reasons and examples, including the workplace group and the university survey. However, the views are not developed equally: the first paragraph mainly says agreement avoids arguments and makes cooperation easier, while the benefits and limits of this view could be explored further. The survey example supports the second view, but its relevance would be stronger if you explained what the students did differently and how that improved their work. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation to make the discussion more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, connections can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear. For example, “they all agree with one people opinion” makes it difficult to identify whose opinion is meant, while the second body paragraph begins a sentence with “Because” that is not smoothly connected to the previous one. Use clearer pronouns and link each example explicitly to the point it supports; this would make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “opinions,” “disagree,” “relationship,” and “suggestion.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less precise, such as “mantain,” “difficulities,” and “disagreemnt.” Some phrases are also unnatural or repetitive, including “same opinion for everything” and “more better way.” Aim for accurate collocations and a wider range of expressions for discussing disagreement, cooperation, and decision-making. Proofreading spelling and replacing repeated general words such as “good” and “things” with more specific choices would improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they have the same opinion … there will be no reason for argument” and a relative clause in “friends who sometimes disagree with them.” However, errors in agreement and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “Some people thinks” should be “Some people think,” and “friends who has” should be “friends who have.” The sentence beginning “Because they can share their own thoughts” is a fragment, and “if they are not agree” needs a different grammatical form, such as “if they do not agree.” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and joining dependent clauses to complete sentences.
