Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the technological era each and every human being has a different ideas. some pesons think that they have friends like similar thought and some of them like friends with dissimilar opinions.i am partial thinking with the both views like have bestieswith same and different persectives.

To begin with,in the busiest lifestyle people like to find a friends with the same view because they have a same mentality to do something and get better results within a short time. For illustrate,if i have to start a new business in a new place definitly first i have to find out everything about that area and if i have similar view friends so they can help and we can get good outcome. In addition if people have to make an arrangment for something like an event so if they both have little same perseptives so they can save the time and get it an easy.

On the other hand, some human being like friends who has different opinions in their life to make a life little hard for thinking so they can think broadly. For instance, one of my friends who is always disagree with me when i have to make any suggestion because she wants me to improve my thinking skills what i dont have and i also appreciate her what she does for me beacuse if we think something different from each other so we can get more ways to start up anything.Additionally, every person has to think very broadly so they can get more routes.

In conclusin, i strongly believe that every people have best friends with the dissimilar views so they can go more ahead in their life by imroving thinking skills then have a friends with the same opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give a clear final preference for friends with different views. The examples about planning a business or event and learning from a friend who challenges your suggestions are relevant to the question. However, the opening says you support “the both views,” while the conclusion strongly favours dissimilar opinions, so your position is not fully consistent. Some points are also asserted rather than explained: for example, you say similar-minded friends help achieve results quickly, but do not show how this works beyond the brief examples. Develop each side with a clearer explanation and make your own view consistent from the introduction through to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “To begin with” and “On the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and the examples generally follow the points they support. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “so” and “Additionally,” and several sentences contain multiple ideas joined without clear boundaries. The opening’s mixed position also weakens the overall progression toward your conclusion. Use clearer topic sentences, divide longer sentences where needed, and connect each example explicitly to the main point of its paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “similar mentality,” “dissimilar opinions,” “perspectives,” and “thinking skills,” so the reader can follow the main discussion. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response awkward, such as “make a life little hard for thinking,” “get more routes,” and “get it an easy.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “persectives,” “arrangment,” and “imroving,” are also noticeable. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing friendship and decision-making, and check spelling and collocations. Prefer natural phrases such as “consider different options” over literal or unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including conditional structures such as “if I have to start a new business…” and clauses explaining why a friend disagrees. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “each and every human being has a different ideas” has an agreement and plural error, while “some human being like friends who has” contains mismatched subject and verb forms. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, especially after sentence openings. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that subjects and verbs agree.
