Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing what you enjoyed, mentioning your cooking practice since the course, and suggesting a new course. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention enjoying the course, the explanation is quite general. The suggestion for a 'heena' (henna) art class is relevant, but the connection to a cookery school is slightly tenuous, as it is not a culinary skill. To improve, ensure that your ideas are more fully extended and directly relevant to the context of a cookery school.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'Additionally', 'Furthermore', and 'Secondly' to link your thoughts. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed due to grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'It is completed I enjoyed it'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between the cooking course feedback and the suggestion for a henna class could be smoother. Improving the logical progression between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, including words like 'multitasking', 'consistency', and 'multivarious'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and non-standard collocations, such as 'done my cookery subject from you institute' (should be 'completed my cookery course at your institute') and 'recreating from the wastes'. Some spelling errors, such as 'heena' instead of 'henna', also occur. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring accurate word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb tenses ('I have done my cookery subject'), missing articles ('I want to suggest art class'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper subject-verb agreement, such as 'instructors also were helpful and be kind'. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the clarity of your writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors would be beneficial.
