You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to express my satisfaction regarding the course which I had recently completed from your school.
To begin with, when it comes to cooking I am such a clumsy and a slow learner type of person. But, because of your staff patience and dedication regarding their work allows me to make mistake and also give me motivation for keep giving it more chances that I originally intended to.
However, due to that I started cooking couple of times a week which is way more that I originally thought I would. Additionally, it would also be really beneficial for individuals like me if you would also consider to add classes on how to make pie. As, there are whole lot of people who loves to bake those too but do not know how to or could not found enough motivation to do so but with your staff and method of teaching it could be possible.
Please let me know what you think about my suggestion. I will eagerly wait for your response.
Thank you,
Sam

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You described your experience with the staff, mentioned your current cooking frequency, and suggested a new course. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a course director. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the staff's patience, you could have provided a specific example of a technique or moment that helped you overcome your self-described clumsiness. The suggestion for a pie-making course is clear, but the explanation for why this is needed is slightly repetitive. Overall, you have fulfilled the requirements of the task well.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'However', and 'Additionally' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, such as the transition in the second paragraph regarding your motivation. The use of referencing is generally clear, though some sentences feel slightly disjointed due to grammatical errors. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use some descriptive phrases like 'clumsy and a slow learner' and 'dedication regarding their work'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'give me motivation for keep giving it more chances' and 'could not found enough motivation'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring that your word forms are correct in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and prepositions. For example, 'allows me to make mistake' should be 'allowed me to make mistakes', and 'could not found' should be 'could not find'. Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'a whole lot of people who loves'. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. Increasing your control over basic grammar will significantly improve your writing.
